HyFIVE partner, The Danish Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, commends the Danish government, The Social Democratic Party and the Danish Social-Liberal Party on their agreement to continue strengthening the Danish commitment to create green transport solutions.

On April 18th, the political parties agreed to dedicate 10 million DKK (approximately 1.34 million EUR) over the next two years to fuel cell cars. This amount will ensure that Denmark can retain its position as an international leader on green energy technologies, including the transport sector.

“By earmarking 10 million to Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs), the parties show their commitment to keep Denmark as a frontrunner in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. We are very satisfied with the displayed ambitions for our green transition”, says Tejs Laustsen Jensen, CEO for the Danish Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells.
He underlines that Denmark was the first country in the world to establish a nationwide network of hydrogen fuel stations, which can now be extended to make the Danish transport sector even greener.

Additionally, a group of the worlds’ biggest car manufacturers, including Honda, Hyundai and Toyota, have already introduced their fuel cell cars in Denmark.

“Danish hydrogen and fuel cell companies are doing a great job exporting their products and knowledge to the rest of the world. Due to the continued support of the government, Social Democratic Party and the Danish Social-Liberal Party, we can create even more jobs that improve economic growth and boost our green transition”, concludes Tejs Laustsen Jensen.
